Vampires in Phoenix Arizona?
May 19th, 2008 categories: Real Estate News
Well probably not, but with the tempature in Phoenix today at 109 today, my dogs sleep all day and come to life when the sun goes down-much like a bat or vampire and after all they have those big canine teeth

As a reminder if you are selling your home in Phoenix in the hot summer months here are some things to remember:
- Increase your watering schedule- Curb appeal and first impressions are important- buyers do not want to see a dead yard. Even if you no longer reside at the home you are trying to sell- it is important to keep up the landscaping.
- Keep the home cool and inviting for potential buyers. If the buyer is at the 10th home of the day, house hunting in the heat of the day- the last thing they want to do is look at a house that is not air conditioned- again- if your home is vacant- keep the air conditioning on at a tolerable level.
- If you have a pool- keep it sparkling clean and inviting- on a hot summer day a blue sparkling pool looks much better that a green, mosquito invested pool to a home buyer and besides that- Sheriff Joe will hunt you down.
- Offensive odors will be magnified 150% in an hot, closed up, air conditioned house- turning any home buyer running.
- Last but most important-bring your pet inside-it is too hot to leave them outside- as an agent- I am very accommodating to sellers with pets-
they are people too!! I
always offer special services to my sellers with pets…
So at the bewitching hour of 12 mid- the vampires have come alive-Apollo is looking for someone to throw his ball, Jesse the rescue dog is finally eating and Waylon the Bloodhound, just wants to play and I will stay up until they all are ready to sleep for the night.

Jaime, you are so timely in bringing up the need to keep a house for market cooler. Buyers just do not hang around, if the house is hot and “stinky”, not matter how nice the home is. Walking into a cool oasis, after a heated dash from the car, will bring a smile to just about any potential buyers face.
@Dru-there is nothing worse than a hot, stinky house
